Interior repaint – 3/10 Harding Ave, Mt Wellington
Our client wanted a spruce-up prior to re-renting the unit. We spent three days on prep alone, followed by a thorough masking, including all wood floors throughout. We then sprayed all doors, trim and ceilings in Manorburn Eighth, with Manorburn Half rolled on the walls. Although we’re pros at cutting straight lines free-hand, we often go to the trouble of masking all newly painted trim, including all skirting and architraves. As well as guaranteeing clean paint lines over the course of three coats, this allows us to roll a wall right up against a piece of trim, eliminating unsightly brush strokes alongside trim. You may also have seen paint jobs where unsightly brush strokes are all around light switches. During the prep process, if we see any of these, we sand them. Of course, we remove all switch plates prior to painting, but when it comes to painting around the embedded light switch casings themselves, we always make sure these are rolled right up to the edges of the casing. No chance of brush strokes ruining the look of the wall.
